What You’ll Need for this Self Care Gift
The Self Care planner is a must from momAgenda. It’s an amazing planner completely focused on keeping you present and working continually on your mental and physical health. It has all of the planner necessities like calendars, a list of holidays, and a whole section in the back for notes. But, the really cool part is the self care planner pages.
The Self Care Planner pages help you keep track of your sleep, mood, water intake (always a hard one for me), meals, snacks, exercise, and more. There’s a section for gratitude, desires and priorities. This is perfect for those of you that like to wake up and journal or start your day off with positive intentions. It’s a great place for you to keep all those positive thoughts together! At the bottom of the first self care page, there is a spot for reflections and notes, so you can revisit your planner at the end of the day to conclude your thoughts and meditations.
Finally, on the other side, the planner has a place for “me time”. I think this is my absolute favorite! It is so hard to remember to take some me time, and this planner does such a good job, well….doing it’s job and making you plan for me time. There’s also a place for bullet points about your day, where you can list whatever you need too. Overall, this Self Care Planner is the bomb, which is why it’s the focus of this gift idea!
Other materials you can put in this self care gift are: face masks, eye sleep covers, satin pillowcases, candle, sleep spray, body wash, lotion….basically anything that seems relaxing or related to self care. Those are some of the items I chose to put in this gift.
Putting the Self Care Gift Together
For the overall self care gift idea, I decided to put together a basket. I do love making a gift basket! It’s a great opportunity to have a theme, and you know I love a theme. So, since I was starting with the Self Care Planner. I surrounded it with things that are perfect for “me time”.
To start, you need to get a basket. I use the term basket loosely, because you can use a basket, a bucket, a box, whatever type of container you want! For my basket, it was long and low, so I know I needed to add some height. The satin pillowcases and Self Care Planner were perfect for that! Then I put the smaller items layered in front of the tall items in the back. You can see in the pictures below.
Some gift basket tips and tricks:
- Use grocery bags or paper to stuff the bottom of the basket. If you think it’s too much paper or plastic, it’s not! Your items will smash that paper down, so overstuff with paper. It will go down, I promise!
- Grab some paper crunchies (yeah, that’s the official name….in my head at least). Use your paper crunchies to cover up any plastic or paper that is showing.
- If you have issues with items staying put (like when you pick up the basket), don’t be afraid to tape them to one another or to the paper/basket. It totally helps.
- Grab some cellophane and wrap that puppy up!
Make Your Self Care Gift Extra Special
A super easy way to make any gift extra special is personalization. And, momAgenda offers personalization for their planners! Besides the luxurious feel of the planner cover, you can add a full name or monogram in either print or script! I love options, because everyone in your life is different. For example, my sister is more modern/zen/sporty, so I would definitely do a monogram in print. But my mom, is more traditional and loves Pioneer Woman and home decor. So, I’ll get her Self Care Planner in her full name and script. It’s a great way to show some personal love in your gift!
If Gift Baskets Aren’t Your Thing…
You can skip the full, big gift basket idea if the thought of putting it together scares you. It’s not for everyone! But, here is another, smaller gift setup for you. Check out the picture below. You can grab a Self Care Planner, a candle, eye mask, face mask, and rice bag (that fun colorful thing on the left – goes in the microwave or fridge and is great for calming headaches).
These few items put together still make an amazing self care gift and you could pop all these items into a gift bag real quick!
Wrap Up
I think that pretty much everyone could use a self care gift nowadays. Especially after everything everyone has been through from 2020-2021. Self care is so important, and that is why I love the Self Care Planner so much. It really puts our mental and physical health in the forefront of our minds. So, grab your own, grab one for all your friends! If you’d like to see more DIY gifts, check out some of the posts below, or my Pinterest. Happy gifting!
