Simple Las Vegas Wedding Favor Idea No One Will Forget

So, you’re getting married in Vegas! If you made it to this post, chances are you’re having a Vegas wedding! I live in Vegas, so getting married here was a no brainer! I have another post about Vegas wedding tips that you can read here. But, the point of this post is to show you a fun and super easy Las Vegas wedding favor. Check out what I did for our wedding!

Disclosure: I have affiliate links in this post. That means when you click on a link, if you buy something, I get a commission. This does not cost you any extra money. They are just bouncing back a commission to me for sending you their way! And, don’t worry, I won’t recommend anything from a website I don’t trust. I have your back! Plus I shop all these places too! Want more info? Check out the EventOTB Privacy Policy.

What You’ll Need

The supplies for this Las Vegas wedding favor are minimal, which makes it nice and easy! You need a bag, a deck of cards and a keychain. For my Vegas wedding, the theme colors were black, white and red. I wanted to keep it fairly simple. So, you’ll see those colors reflected here.

I found these amazing bags on Etsy. You can search Vegas bags or Vegas hangover bags (that search term brings up small bags). The shop I bought them from was PressedShop. But, it looks like they aren’t open anymore. ☹ But, if you search for Vegas canvas bags, you’ll see a bunch of options!

The cards I actually ordered through the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino Wedding Chapel. They made it super easy! (More on getting married at Mandalay Bay here). There are other places you can buy these personalized playing cards, like Bea-coup. They have a ton of options! You can personalize the colors and writing on there.

Finally, I bought a poker chip theme keychain. I loved the subtlety of the keychain. It seemed very sleek and modern. It wasn’t too cheesy or literal (like a literal poker chip). So, it fit the modern feel of my wedding. I purchased these on Etsy from Finesse Laser Designs. They are super cute, great quality and you can put your names and date on there! Definitely check out their shop.

Putting Your Las Vegas Wedding Favor Together

Well, here is the super easy part. You literally put it all in the bag! Depending on what kind of bag you get, you could add a cute ribbon, or tissue paper. I had a drawstring bag, so there was no ribbon or tissue necessary.

Make sure you check measurements for everything. I almost ordered the wrong size bags. Don’t guess, especially if you’re doing a small sized bag. 4×6 and 5×7 are only an inch apart in each direction, but that is a lot! So, make sure they fit your items in the bag. The bag I ordered was 4×6. A 5×7 would have given more space, but the deck of cards and keychain would be moving around a lot more in the bag.

So, if you are sticking with the deck of cards, go with a 4×6 bag!

Giving out the Las Vegas Wedding Favors

There are so many options for how you give out your favors. There’s no right way to do it! It’s all in how you would like to present these to your wedding attendees. Since I got married at a casino chapel, there was a planner and assistant involved, so they were able to hand out my favors to people as they walked in. I also only had like 12 people at my wedding, which made that easy to manage. Gotta love those small COVID weddings (March 2021).

Anyways, there are other options as well. You can hand these favors out at the reception or have a place for them to pick up the favors, maybe by the seating cards. You could have them pick one up on the way out of the reception at the end of the night. Or, you can have your wedding coordinator put them on each place like the picture below! Whatever works best in your situation.

Wrap Up

The overall, important thing is that your wedding favor represents you! So, make it personal to your theme, your color aesthetic and your personality! This one worked for me because it was simple, had a Vegas theme and was fun, but also useful.
