How I have grown to love Moscow Mules, let me count the ways….. 1. Refreshing. 2. Cute Cups (important) 3. I have a new love of ginger recently. These drinks are super easy and fun. So, I thought I’d make a little DIY gift example. The Moscow Mule Gift set is the perfect idea for the drinker, the hipster and everyone in between (who’s older than 21). I break down the items you’ll need, where to get them and then I’ll even give you the option to trade me an email for some super cute gift tags.
Disclosure: I have affiliate links in this post. That means when you click on a link, if you buy something, I get a commission. This does not cost you any extra money. They are just bouncing back a commission to me for sending you their way! And, don’t worry, I won’t recommend anything from a website I don’t trust. I have your back! What You’ll Need
- Towle Living Hammered Party Cup – This is a fun take on a copper mug for Moscow Mules. I found this cup at Target. It is copper and will preserve the awesome freshness just like it should. But, it’s in that Red Solo cup style, making it even more fun for a young, party crowd, or as a gift for that person who has everything.
- Tito’s Vodka – This vodka is very smooth. For the Moscow Mule Gift set, I got a mini bottle from BevMo. This will be enough for one Moscow Mule and not set you back too much $$.
- Moscow Mule Gummies – These are so good. Gummy Bears flavored like Moscow Mules! You can get them on Amazon. I also have a Wine Gift Basket DIY featuring this company’s Champagne Dream Bears. So you could get the variety pack. Two birds, one stone.
- Ginger Beer – This ginger beer, which is actually non-alcoholic, I got at Trader Joes! Ginger beer is a little less sweet version of ginger ale. I know, it all sounds the same. But the magic happens when you mix all this together!
Building Your Gift
I chose to wrap this Moscow Mule Gift set in a box because so many items are of unique shape. (Could I just use that to describe my body type? Unique shape….I’m liking it). Anyways, I lined the box with tissue paper and laid the items gently in, making sure all items were showing. This way when the person opens their gift, they get the complete picture. Also, the box I used had food items on it. You know, theme. This box was actually a photo holding box that I got at Michael’s.
Finishing Up Your Wrap
To complete our gift set, I closed up the box, tied with some twine and added a little tie on. The tie on is actually from a pad of scrapbook paper that I also found at Michael’s. You should definitely look through your crafting supplies or junk drawers at your house. You never know what you’ll find that you can use for gift wrap.
*Note: When tying your twine, make sure you don’t flip the box. It will create havoc inside your gift. Very skillfully, twist your twine around the box, tilt if need be, but don’t flip.
**Note: If you have a hard time threading your twine through a tag or tie on, try this tip: If your twine is fraying, put a piece of scotch tape on the end. Fold it over in half. Cut the top off of your twine/tape combo. You’ll have a stronger end to thread through your tag.
