Marie Antoinette embodies all the decadence and fanciness of a Parisian theme. She’s known for being over the top and the movie that came out with Kirsten Dunst just gave a fun twist and unique look to a time period that we all know and love. I used that party scene in the Marie Antoinette movie as inspiration for this party theme! Think reds, pinks….and, of course, gold! First up, we’re starting with party decor. It’s a fun mix of colors, some soft and hard materials and of course, a Parisian flair. For this theme, you’ll probably have food, so a party table is essential. Let’s start there:

Serving hot tea, hot chocolate, infused water with fun ice cubes (think frozen flowers or frozen fruits). Tea sandwiches, finger foods and charcuterie boards or grazing boards are perfect ideas for this theme.

If you don’t want to do tea party themed food and drink, you could also go full tilt French with pastries, mini quiches, and plenty of bread and butter! You could even do a butter board. For French inspired drinks, you can bust out the champagne, pink lemonade, and think botanical flavors like lavender.

Finally, as a third option, you could do a modern take on the fun and fancy with things like specialty popsicles or creative desserts. Think dessert bar, with tons of options like cotton candy, or waffle cones with fruit in them! Drinks could be fun spritzers like white claw or even non-alcoholic sodas like Olipop. Infused waters are a must too!
