Christmastime is here! (Singing in my head currently, as I type). I decided to go with a Red and White theme this year for the Christmas centerpiece on my table. It’s super simple to put together and you only need a few things. I’ve got a tutorial for you below and a video from TikTok to show you how to do it (if that’s more your style!) You can see it all below!
What You’ll Need:
- Tall Vase or Jar
- Floral Foam
- Floss or string to cut the floral foam
- Red and White Foam Balls (or a different kind if you want a different look)
- Floral Picks of your choosing
- Fake Snow, Bottle Brush Trees, other matching decor (optional – to go around everything)
These materials for your Christmas centerpiece can all be found at a craft store. I got all of my materials at Hobby Lobby. If you keep an eye out, you can find them all on sale. Or, even purchase them after Christmas for next year to save even more money! But, these few materials can be used for your beautiful Christmas centerpiece.
How to Put You Christmas Centerpiece Together
If you’re more of a visual person, you can check out the video tutorial below. Otherwise, keep on reading! First thing you want to do is cut down your floral foam. String or floss is actually the easiest and cleanest way to do this. There will still be some mess from the foam, but using string cuts right through it and no knife or sharp objects needed.
Don’t worry about your cuts being perfect. You just need it small enough to fit in your tall vase with some room around it for the foam balls. Once you get it cut down, pop it into your vase and then fill around it with the foam balls. You might have to push down the balls to fill in any gaps. That way you can’t see the floral foam through the balls.
Finally, put the floral picks that you chose into the top of the foam. The nice thing is that you can pull them out and put them back in a few times if you don’t like how the placement looks. One thing I like to do is make sure the heights are varied. So, some tall, some shorter and fan them out side to side. Ultimately, it’s your Christmas centerpiece, so you can go with what looks good to you! 🙂
Optional Add Ons
There are some other things you can add around your Christmas Centerpiece. I found these red and white bottle brush trees at Hobby Lobby and I got them in two different sizes. Then I added in a wood reindeer decor item that I thought would bring in some different texture. Finally, I added in a Santa ornament from my tree that was big enough to stand on it’s own as well as some fake snow! You can do the same and add in any other items around the vase that look good to you!
Wrap Up
This Christmas centerpiece is super easy and very impactful. You can put it together in about ten minutes and for a pretty affordable price. You can choose your colors and have fun with it.
